I talked to Marcelo the other day- he was super busy cleaning up the academy (from the flood)- but as always, he was optimistic and in good spirits- considering the situation.

They have already secured a place to hold classes for the time being.

They are also have a Romulo Barral seminar on Sept. 8th- for anyone in the nyc area- you should check it out! Romulo is awesome!

Same shit happend to my club on Friday. I walk in to open it up before class & the people who farm the field next to the building had a sprinkler malfunction and blasted some of the roof off the gym and soaked everything. Just bought 12 pro mma zebra mats a couple months ago plus all the other cheaper ones I had in there. Now I am dealing with the insurance company guy that says he doesn't think the mats could really cost $170 a mat plus shipping. And no place to train for the next month or so. I feel that shit Marcelo.

Can't argue with your invoice from them or where you bought them from. If you lost it contact the company and have them pull your invoice.

Ya fortunately I still have the invoice. The only problem is that I got them discount on zebra.com from one of the tournaments they had, so it was a good deal cheaper than full price. I am trying to explain to them that I can't get that deal again so they owe me for full priced mats to replace them cause they don't have any of the pro mma mat in the discount section.
