This was the first time Newbreed has come to Charlotte and the turnout wasn't great. I only had 1 other guy in my nogi division and I had 4 in my gi division (they combined some weight classes for gi.) I did get 1st in no gi advanced and 2nd in purple gi.
I only got video of my no gi match. I won with a japanese necktie. They guy is wearing blue belt shorts, but he was a purple belt. I know because I beat him in purple belt gi too.
I lost in the gi final by 2 points. We both pulled guard at the same time and my leg got caught up under him and he came up on top, which was 2 points immediately. Then he stalled big time. Ref said they had no rules against stalling. He was a weight class above me, but it was clear with his stalling he didn't want to grapple.
