Joseph J Battaglia Different Gyms may have different Ranking systems. Mash and Warrior Way have arm bands. I do know one thing you cant make a Black Belt unless you train in a Gi. You can have a equivalent But not a Black Belt!!

Really, I dont care if it is reconized, so what. I am demoted to a white belt that has some skills, I dont think they would want a white belt to give them a fair go never mind if by some fluke they getted owned.

It wouldn't matter would it? I mean if you were a black belsh, and they consider you a white belt, than you have all the more fun tapping their browns, and purple belts with your "White" belsh rank.

Careful picking arguments with Battaglia one of those things where its choose your battle guy has a lot of influence in Michigan. With that being said just ignore it James Gray caught alot of crap too and that guys pretty much self taught started his own belting system and are tapping out all sorts of people
