Honestly putting an ad on craigs list sounds sketchy as all get out. However i did it to find someone to train striking with and actually have met some really cool people! Just make the ad sound as platonic as possible to avoid strange rape scenarios......

If you're looking to put together a grappling dummy on the cheap: a Salvation Army thrift shop pair of Carhart coveralls stuffed with rags, and speed bag for a head is really cheap way to go.

I've got no one to practice Jiu Jitsu with at all! All I've been doing is watching MTS, and taking as much notes as possible. I've looked for BJJ schools, but all of them are either out of the City, or WAY on the other side of it, I think I'm stuck without mat time...Any idea's?

Theres gotta be someone that would be up for repping technique with you. Especially in a bigger city like San Antonio. Whether its in your back yard or whatever. You may have to become a google master to find em but theyre out there. Try posting an ad in craigslist or something. Good luck with the hunt!

Thanks man, I've searched 10 P in San Antonio, but all my threads were the only thing that came up in google...Kind of embarrassing really, but then again its semi-good, because if another guy is lookin' to rep technique, and searches through google, they'll find my thread, and hopefully hit me up.

I'd work on stretching also... I think stretching is extremely important for jiu jitsu.. So once you join a school one day you will already have fantastic flexibility.

Don't worry, when I first caught wind of Eddie, and saw his flexibility, and work ethics vid, stretching, and doing yoga became breathing to me, its a little funny that I'm usually the one to preach stretched to people I know, but now I'm getting the stretch talk lol, thanks. I also do other stretches like the splits so I can have high kicks...You ever tried stretching while reading?..It sucks.

Sweet..After I get a few tech reps from my glory hole rendezvous, I might give it another go, but more platonic like you said. But then again to rape me you need to take my back, so even if the scenario happens, I may end up getting some reps....And possibly a dick in my ass...But we all gotta take chances.

Nice! My dad holds a haunted house for 2 weeks before, and on halloween day, so he's got some old jump suits, so maybe I'll do that, and then use the speed bag, and put a fucked up mask on it so I'll have reason to do my best to kick the crap out of it.
