    De La Riva Guard

Does anybody have any sick videos of it being used in competition. I was just drilling it yesterday with orchard, and I want to make it strong into my game.

The Mendes Bros use it alot. A simple youtube search of De La Riva should suffice. It works better in the gi because of sleeve collar belt and pant grips but it is still legit in no gi competitions.

Here is a classic video of De La Riva guard with another guy who became famous for beating Royler Gracie.

Yep. Keenan Cornelius is another. Caio Terra is another. Cobrinha is another.

On the MendesBros Online site there is some good no-gi DLR stuff and there's going to be no shortage in the future. Watch Rafa's ADCC 09 tournament and trials matches, as well as his ADCC 2011 stuff.

And watch some gi footage too. It really does translate.

Coach Zog has a great no gi approach to de la riva. Let me check. He might have a video on it.

Edit: found it. Skip to 2:35....although the first tech is worth watching too.

i've been trying De La Riva and inverted DLR with no gi. Not having much luck yet, but more reps the better i guess..its so hard to do it without the gi grips
