Dude, you're totally right. Jones is not responsible for anyone but himself. Also, the UFC planned poorly. They should've had a back up plan. Even still, the noble thing for "good guy Jones" to have done would be to take the easier fight and save the company who made him millions save their millions. Be a company man. Yeah, he has no obligation to the noble thing, but there's a reason fans are disappointed. I guess my dude got a DUI and gave up on the good guy act.

GSP was wise to have broken away from the Jackson camp.

And buffalo wild wings fans are clueless and will likely not even know about the debacle.

Now because hes such a little sissy an entire card is being scrapped and every fighter on that card is getting their pay day taken away. Id be so pissed if I was just about to finish up my training camp and boom nope you gotta wait for your money and start that camp over.

So you're not going to blame Hendo?
You're not going to blame Machida?

You're going to go on the side of a guy whom just lost a title shot in a smaller weight class because he thinks he can shit talk his way into fame?

I wouldn't call a guy who took on EVERY top light heavy fighter, including every champion in the past couples years, a "little sissy".

I understand, you dislike Jones, and you want to look for every reason to call him out on something.
But you instantly lost credibility with the cancer ridden children thing.
A champ shouldn't have to fight people whom have no business fighting them, and every mma fan bitches and moans when they think a champ is being thrown a free win, so they shouldn't be able to flip flop and complain when a champ turns down a fight with someone whom doesn't have any business fighting them.

Exactly its a terrible fight for Chael to take even with a full training camp. But he was willing to do it. Jones is just finishing out a full camp where he was fighting someone with a somewhat similiar style. He actually wouldnt have to worry about anything on the feet with Chael. Just disappointing to me.
Chael only offered to jump in because he knew that he wouldn't get the fight.
That's the ONLY reason he offered.
And now he has more fuel to shit talk, like he always does.

Because undercard fighters are the back bone of MMA. If these guys don't get paid enough, they wont' be able to afford fight camps. If they can't afford fight camps, they'll probably have to balance a full time job with MMA training. That means they'll never get better. That means the sport doesn't advance. Making sure the "little" guys get paid is good for the sport. I can only imagine how dudes must feel.

More on the topic though....this is fucking lame.
I was looking forward to this fight.

When do fighters normally stop training anyway?
This seems very close to the fight to get an injury to me.
But I don't know when fighters start taking it easy with the training pre fight.
    If at all.

I was hoping for the H-bomb.

Hendo got hurt. Such is life. Machida hasn't had a full fight camp. No reason for him to fight for the strap under prepared. Jones, on the other hand, had a full fight camp and is in excellent shape. I can't think of a reason he should avoid an out of peak shape undersized opponent to save everyone from taking a huge loss.

I'm not on Chael's side. And before this, I was a huge fan of Jones. Chaels doesn't deserve to get the shot. But Jones still made a selfish decision. And Chael didn't offer to fight because he knew he wouldn't get it. He offered to fight because he had nothing to lose. A big payday and the off chance that he might actually win? And your only losses coming to the current champs? It's like the lottery with a win win situation. Why the hell not?

Supposedly Weidman offered to fight as well.

Supposedly Hendo tried to train through the partial MCL tear for about a week. From what I know fighters stop training the week before the fight. But knees are tricky. Especially when you're older. Even with light sparring, you could still hurt yourself unintentionally.

Hendo got hurt. Makes sense why he would pull out. Machida didnt have a full training camp. Makes sense why he wouldnt take the fight. If Machida took the fight it, doesnt matter, Jones would have turned it down. "8 days isnt enough to prepare for a whole new fighter" Jones had a full training camp against someone that has a strong wrestling style like Sonnen, who is out of shape and an entire weight class below.
Im on the side of whoever was willing to take the fight. Weidman offered to fight too. I'm confused though. You say I look for every reason to call him out on something? I didnt realize you knew me so well, considering I've rooted for him in every fight since he came in to the UFC...Is Jones a great fighter? Yes. I like to watch him fight. Ive never been his "fan" though.
My point is champions should have to fight. What other job can you say "no im not going to do my job" and still keep that job?

Well that sounds like Hendo's fault then, training injured making it worse.

I don't think it was selfish on Jones's part.
He didn't get injured or cancel the fight, and now his entire training camp is almost useless because he has to change opponents.
All you guys saying how Chael is pretty much Hendo's style....what?
Are you high?...wait never mind, some of you might in fact be high. lol, nothing wrong with the of course.

It's a better like this anyway, nothing could of been done about the injury now that it's happened, but Machida deserves the shot now, and he is getting it.

Chael needs to take out Shogun and Bader, then he can talk shit.

Though, I foresee him getting out wrestled by Bader, and out classed by Shogun.
    Easily.

Lol, holy cow this thread went to shit when I left. Still some valid points being tossed around. But still anyone who thinks Chael is in it for the payday or the fame is a clown. Bar none, drop dead clown. There are better ways to make money and the dude is intelligent enough to pursue those options. Read my post.

If there is ANYWAY you can somehow make a promise to a dead family member out to be a bitch move. I will revoke my statement about you more blatant John John's fans being fools. And clowns..

Cheal is not even slightly like Hendo.

Hendo has strong wrestling, of course.
But first and foremost he is a striker, and Chael is not.
Chael fights completely differently than he does.

If Machida gets to drop out because of short notice, then Jones should be able to also without flak from people whom don't train and fight like he does.

You have no idea what it's like to be training so long for one specific fighter, and then be told they are dropping out.
The fight has only been postponed by a few weeks, if Chael got to simply hop right in, Lyoto and hendo would both be set back in their title shots.
    How is that fair?
