The last part I believe with Rickson. You cannot count training as actual fights. Helio said as much when asked about Rickson. The whole stuff about Royce is understandable to a point. It saddens me that you can from a art of innovation to stagnant thinking in the space of a few generations. Not saying what Relson is seeing in UFC isn't valid. There are likely some things that have gotten diluted from teacher to teacher but to say there isn't more technique one could employ that is extremely effective just rubs me the wrong way. It his opinion though.

Sorry about the double post, guys. This computer freezes up sometimes. I'm not saying I don't admire the grit of the dude and he is likely right about ground defense in the UFC at large. But.. Lol.
