    Are there parallels to this in the world of Jiu Jitsu? Have we had any disruptive innovations that actually may not be good in the long term? Likewise, have we lost anything of value from the past?
    The thing about it is, all these new techniques and developments are put to the test everytime someone rolls. So I am of the opinion that none of these innovations are going to be detrimental to BJJ in the long term. If the moves or the system doesn't work, people aren't going to use it, and it will fade off in the background.
