That'd be cool. Definitely not trolling. I'm presenting a concern. I like it in theory, but I just feel like it puts your knee in danger and the opponent's knee isn't. Running through scenarios in my head, if I start to feel my knee twist the wrong way, I'd unwrap and go back to regular LD. But in that split second, I'm giving the opponent a chance to pass. But if you can get there and whip up to your side quickly, I think the stress on your knee would be relieved.
I'd say develop it man. Don't take it as negative criticism. Take it like, maybe you're onto something you just need to keep tweaking it. Come up with ways to take the knee out of danger. Show its effectiveness. Because if it's really that good, I'd like to use it too. I'm just not trying to risk my knees on it. I didnt' try rubber guard until my teacher taught me how to avoid knee stress. So yeah.
