    Electric Chair considered Deep Half?

A guy I train with, Chris Patrick, brought this to my attention. Thought it was a cool observation. I know its not exactly traditional deep half ala Jeff Glover or whoever else you want to name drop, but essentially you are deep under the guy in half guard..Boom mind blown. Youre welcome.

The more I think about it, I guess it could be considered deep half.

Deep half controls the shit out of one leg, then moves the hips. Ec controls both. X guard is pretty deep too, but still different. All position below opponents base. Best way to compromise it.

Both considered "Deep Half". The hand placement in the gi is the one I prefer which is not controlling one leg exactly. Not that it really matters or will develop deep half or the electric chair in anyway. I guess the Electric Chair is a sweep if anything but the body position if you were to just keep ahold of the sweep before going into Stoner Control then it really could be kind of like deep half.
