Not sure if anyone else has heard this, but Jones presents his side of the UFC 151 debacle. I have to admit
despite loving Chael Sonnen more, Jones does present a few good points (and reminds me of the typical young
person who works hard for a company and then has that moment where the company or manager makes him feel
like he's not appreciated). I had actually forgotten about how he had fought 4 times in 18 months (I know
he's young but still and that he's made just about every media appearance he's been asked to do. Although Nick
and Tito wouldn't have turned down the fight, I doubt they'd make as many media appearances as he did.


So....I'm kind of torn as to how to react to the situation now. I understand where Jone's is coming from,
and I'm not picking sides either but say Ronda took a fight against Cyborg (I'm just picking her as an example,
I like her as a fighter too) say she did take a hypothetical fight against Cyborg and then lost...how would
she feel then? I guess the only compromise that could've been reached would be:


1) Automatic title rematch with full training camp if Jones loses

2) Increase in fight pay to take on Sonnen for 8 days notice, and promise of x number of fights
if he loses.

3) promise of an office job if Jones' legacy never recovers from a loss to Sonnen.


Either way, I'm glad on the plus side I was able to enjoy the wedding I went to guilt free.

man fuck Dana white he's a fucking dissloyal impulsive retard, he through the homie under the bus for Dan Hendersons mistake. now Jhon knows he can't trust Dana, & he should give that mutha fucker the cold shoulder every chance he gets. Dana is just feeding this retarded dialog started by Rashad's silly ass to turn people against Jhon by saying he's this and that when none of it's true. in order to hype there fight. & Dana just fead into it, & showed how much of a rookie he is at handling world class athletes. the UFC is getting bigger and Dana still thinks dudes are gonna defend there title on 8 days notice, Dana needs to plan his shit better. if anyones lost respect it's Dana, how about having more respect for your champion ! i can't respect someone who is dissloyal & will toss you under the bus at a moments notice. & good luck promoting your champs fights after you shit on him. Dana has put himself in a weird spot where he can never publicly support one of his top champs & one of the most entertaining fighters in the game. say what you want about Don King but he never did anything that impulsive and stupid & it's not the first time with Dana, Tito, Anderson now Jhon, talking shit to dudes that would kill him with ease. " what a dousche " at this point i'd love to see Dana try to back up " half the shit " he talks & watch him get his ass kicked with ease, & i bet a younger Greg Jackson would mop the floor with him. & to think i used to like that fucking iddiot.

ja ja, when jones says chael won't be remembered except as the guy who lost to Anderson Silva and looked good doing it, cracked me up! Bones Jones, Spider Silva and Cain Velasquez are still my #1 fav fighters.

also, and i haven't seen any coverage on this, but if you have ever been in a contract dispute with your boss (which this situation clearly is) because your boss wants to change your contract and expects you to be a 'yes man' without regard to how it will affect you, then it sounds like a bunch of ignorant jealous sheep are easily misled (which is no surprise) into thinking their bosses always have their employees' best interests in mind. and i can shit gold bricks too.

anyone and everyone who has ever been on the losing end of a contract dispute should be cheering on Jon Jones to whoop some ass in the name of everyone who has ever been shit on by their boss. and Dana (God bless his impulsive soul) should be thankful he doesn't have to deal with a fighters union. ask yourself what kind of relationship you have with your boss/company before you ask Jon Jones to bend over and take one for the team.

finally, Ben Fowlkes (i hope i spelled it right) said it best when he said there are NO cowards in the UFC in a great article on mmajunkie. i have tremendous respect for anyone, man or woman, who gets in the cage to get beat up for my entertainment. as a former enlisted sailor, i accord them the same respect and honor i give to anyone, man or woman, who puts on a uniform so that i can talk shit while enjoying the greatest and fastest growing sport in the world. chael (yes, i respect the hell out of him and i actually enjoy his shit talking since he backs it up every time he gets in the octagon) will get his chance in the future and you'd best believe i'm watching that one!
