Its tweets like "I ask him if he was planing to rob me, he says no. All he wanted was a cigarette, lol I can't help but have a big smile upon my face" that really dont help his case.

Theres hardly any chance anything will ever come of this whole ordeal. Itll just be another interesting story to tack on to the Gracie families history

I dont see anything coming from it legally due to reasons already mentioned here but, it does seem this was not a case of self defense. he baited them by acting intoxicated, he took time talking shit to the guy while he beat him, he choked him out multiple times, he pursued the other guy, that's clearly not self defense. I dont pretend to know if these guys deserved it, they probably are pieces of shit, but it does not strike me as a manner in which a professional martial artist should conduct themselves. Kinda disappointing in a way.

Renzo is a very wealth man. According to the number of students he has in his schools. He can afford a high price attorney to keep himself out of jail. But, lawsuit, forget about it. He would be screwed.

Yes, he would be screwed. But, I don't believe I said any of this would happen. Just that it wouldn't be good for Renzo if this became a lawsuit because of the tweets.

From a legal perspective, clearly it isn't the smartest move to tweet your revenge assault on a mugger.

That being said, the muggers are in a weird scenario where they would have to concede that they mugged Renzo in the first place in order to put themselves in a situation to litigate against Renzo.

True, none of this will probably get to court and shit like this happens everyday. If it happened(lawsuit) or not was not my point. But, it absolutely could!!!! With different crazy self defense laws state to state. Choking people out is a big no no in a lot of states. Let alone 3 times (lol).
