Ney guys.
I'm not sure how many coaches or instructors have this problem when passing the boarder. But to fill you in on the story of what happen recently. Robert Drysdale is going to Canada to do a tour of jiu jitsu seminars starting at Vancouver and going east where he was to suppose to do a 3 day seminar at Toronto NoGi on August 28. I only heard good things about his seminars from my peers so I sign up as well. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem because Drysdale did a seminar last April with no problem. But from what I was told, Vancouver (therefore Canada) wouldn't let Drysdale in to Canada to do his seminars without a work permit. Whats strange about this case is that Drysdale falls into a group of people ie: athletes, musicians, artist etc, are exempt to have a work permit when they make money within Canada.
I made the joke that Vancouver doesn't like mma and trying to ban anything to do with it. But yeah, heard any other cases similar to this?
