I agree wih staying of the mats if you have the worm. That shit spreads like wildfire in a gym.
I've seen guys taped up and after they start rolling and sweating that tape is falling off. Ringworm can be very harmful to kids (to be read secondary infections), I don't want to take it home with me. I now ask guys if they have the worm if they are taped up. I don't roll with anyone who has the worm, and I don't roll where they were rolling at
After every session I spray antifungal spray on all exposed skin. I then go home and shower (i have about an hour ride home from the gym) and the clothes and towels I used go right in the washer. I got the worm really bad one time, I'll never get it like that again. I buy an off brand (generic label) spray, tenactin is a brand name. Look for something with tolnaftate in it
it is mainly skin to skin contact for transfer, but can be done through sweat on a mat and the skin contact with that sweat if the right conditions exist in the gym (heat, light, humidity etc).
