I kind of agree with Marcello. But only in the sense that i really don't know too many places that you can train just no-gi jiu jitsu 2+ times per day. Many just run a few no-gi classes per week. Which simply isn't enough mat time for the jj super athletes that are coming up that want to be rolling 2,3 maybe 4 times per day. Plus there are so many more comps out there, if you do gi too. So mat time would be the only reason i would agree with that statement.
For example (assuming i only have access to 3 no-gi classes per week) i would rather do 3 no-gi, and 3 gi classes per week, than say 3 no-gi and 3 strength and conditioning. Those extra 3 gi classes will help my overall game a little more than the 3 strength and conditioning etc classes would. And at least i enjoy the jiu jitsu. Much more than strength etc, which i find tedious.
Just my opinion. :-)
