+1 for Scott. I thought the same thing. I have to admit though, I was asking myself: "Did you figure all of that out before or after you bit Evander Holyfield twice? Was that before or after you were convicted of rape? Do the lessons you impart to other fighters also apply when beating up a motorist?" Honestly, despite all of that, he really did have an important message and he delivered it very well. +2 for Mike being a mentor.
It is funny to see Mike now. I think if that if we would have seen this side of him in the past he would be in a different place in boxing history. not as one of the great heavy weights but second best heavyweight of the modern era behind Ali.
Don't kid yourself, it is the Zoloft and Prozac and the ten other anti-depressants and anti-psychotic drugs he is on. I am a HUGE Iron Mike fan, but that is not Mike talking. That is zombie Mike.
well the drugs seem to work. besides I don't think it is all drugs, he had a great deal of clarity in the documentory Tyson. he seems like a goody guy that thought he had to play a certain role and now is content with himself and life.
specifically relating to the fight.. holyfield was ridiculously dirty that fight as well.. mike just can't control his emotions. but with everything else... yeah not cool..
The last 2ish years of interviews with mike have been similar.. In the others hes been better spoken imo. This is still awesome though.

It seemed as though he learned those lessons afterwards. That speech was like a lament from the ghost of fighting's past and I think that's what made it so incredible.
The documentary really helps with shedding light on the true man that is mike tyson. He is an amazingly interesting, and unbelieveably talented man, and although he has fought his demons in public, he is no different that I. For we are all flesh, and flesh is weak, that is why we train.
