Anyone heard of this Dogon tribe?

They're a large group of people in Mali (Niger) who have believed for thousands of years that they were visited by aliens, and it's hard to dispute the at least some of the evidence they provide.

They believe they were visited by fish-like aliens from a binary star in the Sirius system. The crazy thing is, there is a binary star with Sirius, and it's impossible to see with the naked eye due to it's size and proximity to Sirius. In fact, it wasn't verified as existing until the 19th century (long after the Dogon had been talking about it). How these people have had this knowledge for so long with the limited technology they have is pretty wild.

Just thought I'd bring this up, as I've been interested in aliens and ancient peoples for a while but hadn't heard of this until last night. If you have any interesting info on these people, post it here. I'd love to read some more about this, and I'm sure there are others on this forum that are interested as well.

Indeed Interesting. Its crazy the kind of knowledge some acient civilizations had. I never believed that aliens have visited our planet but I would prefer to believe we were genetically engineered over the god theory. I Wonder if they really new of sirius from aliens

The Dogon have a profound understaning of things like string theory and of sub-atomic particals. The Dogon say there is 266 fundamental sub-atomic particals, physiscists say there are between 200 and 280. Pretty interesting how these ancient people are so aware of our universe. This documetry starts talking about the Dogon at the end of the first video and goes on into the next. It's called The Pyramid Code. You should check out the whole thing sometime if you find this shit interesting.
