I liked the part where they said Eddie was a liar for saying that practicing nogi 100% makes you better at nogi then training with a gi.
...wait they didn't say that? But that IS the "Koolaid" so to speak. What was this blog about then? That we don't know basics? That he tries to make everyone roll like him? But then why does he accept new moves from his students all the time and try to add things to his game every chance he gets? Why did he not comment on the fact that opening up a guard in MMA to work your other stuff often gets you punched in the face, and that the whole concept behind the clinch guard (Read: Rubber guard) is to not get hit while making you more offensive? Oh, because he can counter it? Oh nevermind. He is right guys. You can counter the rubber guard, so it doesn't work. Trust me, I once stuffed a friend's armbar. He doesn't do armbars anymore, since I proved they can be countered and therefore do not work.
"I asked Eddie how people rolled in his gym. I asked him, “do people have their own games, or does everyone roll like you?” “Well sure they roll like me,” he replied. “If they wanna roll the right way.”
The arrogance, the haughtiness, the bombasity – the sheer egotistical nerve of Mr Bravo hit me like a hammer."
Eddie, Did I join a Cult. I cant belive that you brainwashed me into thinking that I could attack and sweep from halfguard, not just lay there and get smashed in the face. I cant belive you tried to show me how to submit people off of my back and not just lay there hoping the guy on top gets tired. Dang I cant belive that I bought into the hype. oh well guess I got to go back to smashing dudes with shit that dont work.
