very true when i first tried it it was useless and my buddies who train at gb laughed about it then i find out how to really pull rg, work my flexibility and put in reps. its pretty solid now
But it did show he was in no danger of getting hit from that position. Even for someone who may not have put in the reps, it showed how effective the position can be defensively.
Yeah, I hear ya Matt, but at least he didn't get hit and it showed that yet another elite mma fighter is at least being open minded to rubber guard concepts
Does it annoy anybody else when whenever somebody grabs their foot in guard its automatically called rubber guard? I've heard this in a few fight somebody grabs their toes with an over hand grip and its "oh he's working some rubberguard"
