Ei aí, bichão.
For the past 3 months I've been experimenting with a substance I read about on Mercola's site.
It's called Astaxanthin. Here are some of the things it does:
On top of krill oil, I've been taking 16mg of Astaxanthin daily and I've noticed a marked increase in recovery after training. I don't feel quite as beat up after a hard train. My skin looks noticeably better as well.
A few months ago, my dad had been taking it and I went to visit him after not having seen him in a while. When I saw him, he looked 5 years younger. I was shocked.
This stuff is remarkably safe. In fact, no studies that I've seen have shown any adverse effect. In fact, the benefits seem to follow a linear dose-response curve. In other words, the more you take, the more benefits you get.
The research is still fairly new so maybe they'll find out it shrinks your wang or something but if that's the case, I've got nothing to lose by taking it! ;-)

It's called Astaxanthin. Here are some of the things it does:
- Scavenging free radicals in your energy-producing mitochondrial cells
- Decreasing oxidative damage to your cell membranes and DNA
- Decreasing muscle inflammation
- Reducing lactic acid in your muscles (a byproduct of physical exertion)
- Improving visual acuity and depth perception
- Improving sun tolerance and reducing your tendency to sunburn
On top of krill oil, I've been taking 16mg of Astaxanthin daily and I've noticed a marked increase in recovery after training. I don't feel quite as beat up after a hard train. My skin looks noticeably better as well.
