So just wanted to share since this is like a second family for myself and i'm sure many others. For the last year my grandfather who along with my 9 year older brother who have both been like a father to me as that i was not raised around my own, has been battling health issues mainly CHF. My grandfather is what i like to call a different breed of man back when men built there own house from laying the brick to running the electrical. He has taught me a lot of life lessons. Well this past summer our family almost lost him he was in and out of the hospital and at one point was sent home pretty much to die. Well after one last er trip they found a combo of meds to work fairly well. in a matter of one month he lost almost 40 lbs of water weight. During this time he was put into a nursing home and was stil not feeling the best as that they were still tweaking his meds. At this time prolly one of the safest and emotionally toughest our family has been through we got a much needed boost in spirit. To some it may not seem like a big deal but to us and friends close to us it was exactly what our family needed at the time. But long story short a roofer found it as they were replacing a roof. still full of all the original contents and returned it to my grandfather. Now i just thought i would share this little tid bit of a story i'm sure there has been moments were we were losing or faced with possibly losing a loved one and having these little moments always seems to bring the family together and keep them strong
