I keep telling everybody that Neale is the shit. He's just so laid back that he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He really is modest, sometimes too modest, but his skills are really good. I hope to continue to learn from him til I can flow like he does. And maybe while I'm at it, some of that modesty will rub off too, as I need a lot of that. Good job Neale, keep reppin strong.

As for the guys and their results let's not forget that I am flanked by Kevin "Noodles" MacLachlan in Morgantown. I recently promoted Kevin to Blue belt and he does a terrific job helping with the guys in MoTown. I lay it down, he carries it through. Good shit from all and I couldn't be more proud! A few notable mentions... Mr. Joe Zacc. and Mr. Ore. Even thought neither placed at this, their very first Tourny, my hats off to you. Despite not being Champs this day they have my utmost respect. It takes balls to compete. Some people NEVER make it out of the gym. I believe it takes a great deal of courage to walk out their for the first time and it shows the kind of character I look for and covet in my students. If your reading this now and you are amoung the many that have considered competing but haven't yet mustered the courage... Let's go! Get your ass out their. Even if you get crushed in the first match you have MY respect... Just make damn sure your the one doing the crushing second time around. KILL!

Competing is one of the scariest things I've ever done, but as long as you work your game you've got nothing to worry about win or lose. I slept 3 hrs the night before and Im pretty sure i tore my meniscus a week or so before the tournament and I won my division with the support of my team and the hard work we've put in. Neale and especially Kevin have sharpened my game so much. I would like to thank them because I had no faith in myself hrs before and when it was over I had never felt more accomplished.

ps it was good to hear all the "what in the world are those moves?" and other positive comments from the traditional BJJ guys on the sidelines during our(team 10thplanet morgantown) matches.
