Results are showing Anthony Lopez(Purple Belt, Omaha) and Brent Alvarez(Brown)...
Both world's brown medalists. Not bad considering we had only 11 warriors in this year's tournament.

There was such a huge showing last year. What happened this year? People only down for sub only tournies now?

I would have been there for sure if I didn't get the knee injury. I think last year was a big let down. Everyone getting dq'd because we had to compete with one hand behind our back. If the rules are open or at least reasonable, it's pretty much a guarantee(in southern California) that there will be at the least, 10% of the competitors, from 10p moons.

ADCC trials: 80 people, 8 competitors from 10p.
Subfighter tourney: 300 people, 60 competitors for
10p moons.

If they build it, we we come.

Remember that IBJJF added "Submitting by Stretching the Legs" to the 2012 rules as being legal. No more DQ's for Banana Split, Crotch Ripper, or Electric Chair, like last year.

The only ones who can't do this are kids ages 4-12.
