True, I was once closterphobic, but superior technique & a wicked guard can get you out & through anything , become a mental 'Steal Trap'

i'm trying to hold out a little longer and not tap prematurely but when risk of injury is high i have to , i been trying to hold strong when in chokes cause there is a chance a guy may get impatient and let go ,loosen or try to readjust creating a chance to counter the move

A couple of us in my school have a "beauty tap". That's when someone (generally with lighter belt colors) will get over-zealous, and try for something like an RNC; only they are really just mashing your lips into your teeth. If it were tournament (and certainly on the street) no problem! But I want to go to work the next day and meet new clients professionally without thpeaking to them through puth'd ub and burble libs. -Solution? "Beauty tap".

I've always been a quick tap when it comes to my ankles because I messed both of them up by playing on torn cartilage and sprains in football in high-school, so now there's so much scar tissue and floating cartilage there that if I did the necessary surgery, I would be out of work for upwards of 9 months, and I can't afford that. It's actually part of the reason I started bjj, because I can't play basketball or even touch football like I want to (going all-out). I've told guys in my class about it so they try to take it easy on my ankles, as well as take advantage of my lack of stand-up ability (little bastards).

But to answer the question, I've tapped guys via head in arm control maybe 3 times, once I got a tap via forearm-in-neck whilst in mount. That guy got shit from me for like a month.

I once tapped from head and arm control because I had killer sunburn. Actually the sun burn was so bad, that I have scars from the night I rolled.

Iv never met Kevin Green, but after reading this, I will probably tap next time he posts.

I tap when the people I roll with (who like to try out things they learnt on the internet) go for leg locks, as in before they sink them. I know nothing about them and Im not rolling with experts, just very enthusiastic amateurs. One day I will go to Rochester and fix that, but for now I like my ligaments the way they are.
