It may be the worst quality video you've ever seen but have a look anyway!

This is the first match of a 4 man grappling tournament that I did basically as a filler for an amateur MMA show. My opponent was wearing a gi, I'm not really sure why, maybe to make some sort of point or for ezekial chokes.

The match wasn't scored like a normal BJJ match. They wanted it to be 'more like MMA' so it is a decision based on aggression and submission attempts scored by 3 judges.

Overall, you did great man. Very nice technique. Even though you lost position at the end, you clearly won the match.

nice lockdown, to old skool, into the truck. I thought you were gonna finish with the calf crank... The spider web looked good, would've like to see you set it up from rubber guard, but it still worked. Surprised you didn't try for the arm crush before committing two hands to the arm bar, but I thought it showed alot of your technical prowess in the system. In certain schools, that guy would've lost his belt, lol. Congrads.

Nik - The show was at the local army barracks so the crowd was pretty rowdy, I know fight broke out at one stage but I'm not sure what was going on during my match. I liked when someone yelled "Eddie Bravo" when I went for the twister roll.

Overall people were pretty into the grappling and knew what was going on and such.

I'm a 3 stripe blue belt so even if I tapped him I wouldn't think it would be THAT bad. The guy actually asked me to come visit his gym for a roll some time

Oh, I totes did,you can't see it too well from the angle but I did, I swears it. I kinda freaked out when someone yelled '10 seconds left' (a bit early lol) and tried to just yank the arm with 2 hands - because there were no points I didn't really know I would win.
