I'm visiting family in San Jose and looking for opinions on the best places to train. I can't make it to Dennys in San Fran so looking for closer options. Thanks for advice
Luckily I brought my gi. I was thinking Caio Terras or AKA. Thinking Caio's may be a better jiu jitsu environment therefore more conducive to an out of towner.
Leandro Vieira is one of the founders of CheckMat he is at AKA now, I hear he is an awesome coach. Not sure how 10p friendly he is seeing as he is Leo's little brother but it should be a solid Jiu Jitsu atmosphere either that or Caio Terra school Greg Burns on here has trained with them and has nothing but good things to say. I am stationed out there so I always try all the places. Haven't been to Caio's academy yet though. Good luck private me if you ever need a training partner!

Yes you can get your ass on a bus and get down here
I wanted to go to 10p San Fran pretty bad but it didn't work out. Went by Caios and it was awesome, i'd definitely recommend it to anyone in that area with travel limitations. They do both gi and nogi but I showed up on a gi night. It was cool to see different peoples games from completely different schools. When I get some more funds I'll make a Cali training trip and hit up San Fran and HQ, this was a last second one for the Holidays and I had a lot of stops (inserts excuses)
