Depends on your goal IMO. NY is better to me for attacking subs. But for a guy like Ben Saunders, he might want to control from guard to not take damage and cause a stand up....which worked out for him last night. But if you're really trying to attack subs, better to have two arms than one and NY is a better situation than killer B. At least for now. It looks like Saunders is trying to evolve it so we'll see. BJJ is always evolving.
I also think his long legs help him out. Even I were flexible, I don't think I'd be able to hit that. So, I'll be sticking with NY.
