I'm speechless & humbled. I thought I was done with the crazy roller coaster of emotions this week, but this is incredible! I spent nearly 6 days in the hospital with my wife, who did 35 hours of labor to deliver my son - Porter Jameson Hallin. Lots of complications and we finally got released from the hospital on Saturday just before the seminar began. I'd have loved to have been there to receive the honor in person, but the video that Eddie and my guys did is something that will keep me smiling for a long time.
I started out 5 years ago just wanting to learn some of the stuff I watched on UFC and maybe get in shape - at age 37. I found John Botello who would become one of the first affiliates of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. Master Eddie Bravo has such a charismatic teaching style & John embodied that, which made me want to learn. Suddenly, it wasn't about knowing what a kimura was, it was about seeing how far I could go in my own Jiu Jitsu journey. Being a part of 10th Planet is like having an extended family that stretches around the globe and it is just awesome to be a part of it.
Thank you John & Master Eddie for teaching me as much about goal setting & goal attainment as you have Jiu Jitsu. I'm truly honored...
