after watching this shit, im wearing ear guards. Im a little bitch when it comes to needles. anyone know what the mostly fabric earguards that eddie and joe rogan wear are? by that i mean, its not 2 plastic ear things and then straps.

If you can afford wearing the badge of honor, wear it proudly.

But if ear guards are necessary to blend into the masses, then yes, go for it!
I recommend Brute Quad III. They are a durable earguard that don't protrude, making you look like you're wearing a spaceship helmet. Ever roll with someone that was trying to protect their ears, but their earguards were so massive and made of hard plastic that it hurt just to clinch with 'em?

The Brutes are probably only a half inch thick and are cushioned and coverered in a very soft plastic coating.
You're actually playing nice-nice on your ear, and your opponents face.

One last thing, don't wear earguards in a tourney. People will go for guillotines like their life depended on it.

Get it drained and wear ear guards for a couple weeks till it heals.

It will feel like heaven from what it feels like now I promise.

I use the Brute Quad 3's to. I Only wear them when I have to for a week or so when I feel like my ears are starting to heat up and when income home after having them on and my ears not taking a beating it is like night and day.

It's also amazing once one person at your school starts wearing them that others start popping up to.

I am in Seattle for a jitz Seminar all weekend so I will see how it looks Sunday night. If it gets really bad I may have my husband drain it. He is an EMT and also in his third year of Nursing school. He is always looking for a reason to poke me (giggity!).

I found earguards I like and started as temporary, but now where them all the time, except in comps. I like mine but still want to find the soft ones like Joe and eddie wear. I don't even notice them anymore when rolling. Some people complain while in head and arm choke, but that is just payback jabbing thier cup into my back during back control!!
