Very interesting time at bjj school

i signed up at a bjj school today as well as still going to tenth planet the 10th planet gym i go to know is too far so i dont go often so i signed up at this traditional school thats not even 5 minutes away so we were rolling and i went to mission control and went the normal path hand to the mat new york and so on and the head instructor actually was fasinated he actually spent 20 minutes asking me questions and had me show him some moves it was actually a great feeling

cool bro, I remember when I first started grappling at this club that opened at my school people were like "WTF kind of moves are those." I had to teach them a few things, but they aren't even close to being flexible enough.

yeah i thought it was great the head instructor was so open to it...i kinda liked the reaction the like right hand man to the head instructor gave me he asked were i trained b4 and i told him tenth planet and he gave me the dirtiest look i have ever seen but he was the only one every1 else was into it im looking forward to my next class

Yeah, I hear so much about people giving 10th planet students dirty looks when they go to other schools. I don't understand it honestly. But it's exciting for me to show people techniques they don't know about and I always get good praise. Except this one guy I used to roll with who was legit as hell, He always tried to coach me and I'd be pulling guard and the guy would freak out on me just for pulling guard, I had to keep assuring him that is where 70% of my offense is haha.

yeah what i found out is that they had one guy way back when who was hip to eddies system and would use it on every1 but would never explain his moves the instructor said he used to love rolling with him because it was something knew i was intimadated going in there because my go to was always the rubber guard i loved the pyramid position especially after learning the puppet master and so on i went in there got collar choked like nothing so i said forget it went to the rubber guard and thought id dust off the original hand to the mat ect and the instructor stopped us and started asking all these questions i thought i was gonna get a lecture on oh the rubber guard is bad for your knee blah blah blah but no it was just great idk why im so excited lol

yeah the head instructor liked the system then he started dissing eddie and i just changed the subject i didnt wanna get into an argument since i had just had a great time

Thats another thing I don't get is how someone can approve of the 10th planet system but not think Eddie is cool shit.

ive personally never met eddie i would love to but since ive never met him i cant judge but from what ive seen and gotten from his books and dvds and interviews i think hes awesome and cant wait till i one day get a chance to head down to hq or he maybe comes down to the phoenix location
