Competed at 188lbs purple, only one other guy in the division so we went against each other 3 times. 1st round lost on points but I got to play with the octopus guard I have been messing with, too late though. Second round won via Japanese necktie, third round again lost on points hit one sweep from dogfight and that was it really.
Made a few stupid mistakes, sacrificing position and not attacking when I should have. I should have gone for that chicken wing off the octo guard instead of going to the back with less than 10 seconds left, and jumping on the kimura for some reason instead of staying on his back. I was also being way to complacent, as always, on letting him pass and get dominant positions and sub attempts.
I also ended up with the absolute gold because the only other person was the this guy and he pulled out after our matches.
