I'm wrote my first acknowledgement text yesterday.
You guys have heard me bitching and whining about neck and back issues from the 10P cruise, or in Destin with the Zog...hell even Derek knows!
Drew, Woosley, Eddie, and Derek were in the first wave to know. I hope you guys know, I consider you guys friends and part family.
10th Planet has been a crutch on the road to my recovery from my military accident in 2005. I don't think that it was coincidence that I met the guy who would help find a recovery tool, on the exact day that I found out I was medically retired from my Spec Ops flying career in Japan.
Eddie said very few words that night, but what he did say stuck with me.
Eddie/Ari had something in his hand, and I recognized what it was.
I denied his offer like normal, stating my military status.
Then, Eddie said "Don't believe what you were taught about this. Look it up for yourself."
I admit I wasn't ready to hear it, I was the Shining star example of "American"
"No drugs for this guy, I'll bite a tree branch if its too much" was my inner thought.
Well, here I am. Less than 24 hours ago, I was told that I have a brain tumor.
I go in next fri morning to confirm what they think is true.
It explains about 95% of my symptoms.
This stopped me dead in my tracks for my training for the Warrior Games too.
Well, here's the deal. I've seen what radiation does. That's going to be reccomendation too. But since meeting Eddie...I believe in the cure. If I were a betting man, which I'm normally not...but I am here. In the matter of life and death and I believe in it.
Eddie and I have talked, I'm working with Congress to fix this monumental issue, and I'll be writing a damn book soon! Life besides the brain tumor, that is.
Keep an eye out for my kick-starter fund video coming soon.
I miss you goofy gophers.
