Yesterday my wife and I found out her dad (my father in law) has cancer. He had a biopsy from a lump in his neck and it was confirmed as cancer. He still has to go to the specialist to see how extensive it is so we're hoping for the best case scenario, being hardly any at all.
This is the 3rd person from my family that has been diagnosed with some form of cancer in the past 2 years (5th person that I've known). So this really got me thinking about how much of a mortal we all are. Anybody that knows me, knows I really don't have the best diet. I've drank (drunk?) soda as long as I can remember (Mt Dew is my weakness) and my diet wasn't top priority being that my metabolism keeps me model thin. I've seen some major correlation between diet and diseases such as cancer and heart disease, so I've decided when I'm going to die, it sure as shit isn't going to be from cancer.
Any advice would be much appreciated. There's so many diets out there itll take me a bit to weed it all out. I'm thinking more on the organic side of things and probably low/zero meats and bi-products (though I love me some meat).
