Remember caffeine is one the most addictive substances known to man. I had bad head aches and anger when I kicked mountain dew. The disgust of realizing I was addicted was enough to carry me through.
I've tried that as well. Not in a single super-sized 7-11 mug, but a case of Mt. Dew that had sat in a friends car all morning. I got sick, but it didn't help me kick the soda habit. My ex keeps telling me how hard it is to kick a drug habit. I tell I know, I've been trying to get off the caffeine for years. She just laughs and tells me I don't know what I'm talking about.

That does not sound pleasant. I think I'll just stick with going cold turkey lol. Day 2 of no soda. I have had a couple extra cups of coffee but I see it as a win since a 2 liter of Mt Dew was around my daily intake.

I'm right there with you. I've cut back to those 1.5 liter bottles, so that's something. I guess. I'm thinkingabout switching over to the caffeine free sodas. But I've read that they're not the best of stuff either.

Hey every little bit is a win in my book. I imagine that the only difference would be the caffeine so really being able to cut out that would also be a step in the right direction.

Started juicing. That stuff taste so good but I can see it costing a bit :/ Going to have to figure out portion control so I dont end up spending $1,000 a month just on fruits and veggies.

Black coffee for me, caffeine wouldn't appreciate me quitting on it like that.

Shit adds up dude, but I told you it's a great method, especially if you hate vegetables and fruit tastes.

Eating healthy isn't as expensive as most think. Our produce bill for the month four our family of four is around 125 if you buy meat in bulk your looking at another 100 a month. Most people spend at least this much in eating out and boozing.

i hope your father in law is alright man.

as far as diet goes ive been going pretty clean food wise for just over a year. if you really have any problems wth junk food, suggest working at mcdonalds for a while or jsut eating there for all three of your meals for a week or two. i worked there for a year and becuase of money was eatng there a lot. when i finally switched over to healthy food, it felt like ecstasy.

im not a vege/pesca/lacto/ovo anything, but i do keep as healthy as i can. i used to be a sucker for soda so to cut it down i allow myself friday lunch with my best friend where treat myself to a 600ml coke. its somethng to look forward to. t boosts my sugar levels just that bit after a long week and it washes down the super healthy wrap that i have with it.

i think it really is all meant to be balanced. sometimes i walk through the supermarket and jsut breath in deeply, and kind of ask my body what it wants. if it wants fruit ill usually be getting the one that it wants at the time. makes me feel great and i have no problem keepng to it.
