Have you used Cannabis medication for the condition of 'Frustration' as decribed in the Mastering The Rubber Guard book Introduction chapter?

    Don't worry, it gets budder

Thank you all for all of the input an advice. I have decided to spend one of my "standup" gym days with a combat sombo instructor, as he said that he is willing to help me work on my transitions (I will in essence be a throwing dummy in the interim). I am currently trying to figure out how I can get to Allentown, Philly, or Rochester for the instruction that Master Eddie has suggested, while remaining married and not going broke.. They are all about equidistant from me. I thought work would be taking me to philly more often, but I'm not travelling like I used to. In the mean time, I have ordered the rubber guard DVD and will hopefully get some drilling in with it.

Can't say enough good things about this forum. I can't imagine a place where the head person would have this level of involvement, other than here. Thank you.

This made me laugh, especially the "it gets budder" pun. Cannibis is illegal in my state. I work in a government agency, so I would be terminated for using it (strong contractual language regarding illegal drugs).

Other parts I've drilled to death and just don't fit with my body size, style, gameplan, etc. It's not a condemnation of the art; if ANYTHING, it's an affirmation that I don't have to master the entire system to use it. I'm not saying don't drill, don't learn, give up, etc, but to keep an open mind on what your limitations may end up being and what is fun for you to do. Once I figured that out my game really took off. Best of luck in your journey!
Thanks, I believe it is a healthy exercise to constantly reevaluate and critique your decision making. One of the guys at the one gym told me to stop rolling like a 140 lb guy, and to start rolling like a 200lb guy. I am re examining everything, including where I train, how I train, and who I train with. Nothing makes you look harder at yourself than an ass kicking.
