Is it really that bad in the US between gi and no-gi?
Reminds me of the feud between Judoka and Brazilian Jiu Jitsueros from the end nineties to mid 2000s.
The only difference that I'm experiencing is that I have a slight preference for the gi as I get older. Not because it is better, but I can fight slower because of the extra grip. The next day I feel the difference between having trained BJJ or grappling the previous night, but this can also be contributed to the Chechen wrestlers that teach the shoots and takedowns and who roll with us in the grappling classes. These guys are massive, on top of their Greco-Roman/Freestyle/Catch Wrestling game and more than a decade younger than me.
