At Eddie's request, I'm getting on here to introduce myself. My name is Scott Elliott and I own/run a martial arts/MMA gym in Richmond, Ky. I've ran my gym full-time since 1994. Been in martial arts over 30 years, since I was a kid. I'm a Full Instructor/Black Belt under Erik Paulson. Full instructor under Ajarn Chai Sirisute in Muay Thai. Also a certified instructor in Jun Fan/JKD, Kali, Silat, Wing Chun and Savate. I'm an ex-army guy. 19Delta, Cav Scout and a former Drill Sgt.
I've been jiving with Eddie and 10th Planet ever since that fateful day in 2003. I've still got the original article print offs from grapplearts.com when Eddie taught some rubberguard techs dated at 2005. I still have the original GRAPPLE magazines that he was featured in. Bought every book and DVD. We've always incorporated it into our program all along and finally decided to take it to the next level. We just got back from going to HQ last week and making it all official.
I already have had students make great success at NAGA events, some national, using the 10th Planet game. I have a female fighter who fights for Invicta FC, Jessamyn "The Gun" Duke, that is also becoming quite the bad ass in the system. She's a purple belt and will be fighting April 5th for Invicta and then going for the TUF tryouts. While we were in LA, Jess went to work out with Ronda as well. So, she is going to be repping 10th Planet hardcore.
I also teach college accredited courses in Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA. I will soon be offering an accredited course on 10PJJ. If not this fall, in the spring.
So, that's a little intro to us. Glad to be here and excited to have our gym become an official affiliate. I've already met some of you and look forward to meeting more. We have our logo and pic stuff in the works and will be up soon!
