Ultimate Grappling Challenge from Saturday. Open weight/open skill division. 3 Matches for the belt. I made a lot of mistakes along the way. Especially in this first match. I had at least 4 deep spots but still couldn't finish. Happy with the win of course, but much to improve on.

Round 2 of the tournament. This was extra sweet because the guy d'arced my brother in the 1st round.

The Championship round. I was heated going into this because the ref screwed up the scoring in the previous round when this guy faced my teammate Zach Maslany. The belt was coming back to Allentown, no question about it. He was super strong on the bottom. Both Zach and Jon warned me about not getting rolled before I went into this. Everything was solid until I tried the same guard pass for the 3rd time in a row and he saw it coming. A little Escape From Alcatraz action at the end to save the day and finish in half guard. Again, I would've liked a finish, but winning my first belt still felt incredible.

The award ceremony. Huge props to 10th Planet Allentown's Zach Maslany and Jon Michael Holland for their sick coaching and support.
