There is rarely a story that can be told properly in less than 3 hours. Good series are the way to go. Thrones! Rome, Band of Brothers, Lost, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad. They are getting so much better at the medium, the future of tv looks awesome. If we can just eradicate expoitive reality shows.

Oh, and read a book. Ive been injured. Alot, and reading is the highest form of escapism next to music. Trust me.

A Song of Ice and Fire, Wheel of Time, Frankenstein(Dean Koontz), Enders Game-saga, Atlas Shrugged(I dont know why it gets so much shit?John Galt Ma' Fucka!!)

You will be competing before you finish the above. Trust me man. Overcome our modern societies a.d.d. and instant gratification complex. Read

Because it's just an excuse to be a self-centered, greedy, narcissistic ass. Essentially a psychopath. She even admitted that the person she admired most and embodied her "philosophy" best was a convicted child murderer. Or as is often been quoted: "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

You're being pretentious. Ayn Rand is nuts. Many great minds are. Her characters are hyperboles, but so are comic super heroes. You see that are all fallible except one. And I ask you. Whats wrong with a society where everyone pulls there own weight?

    You have read it?

I tried to read it. Bought it used. Could have used the money for something more useful. Like a Snickers or a Pepsi. Ayn Rand was a psycho and tried to pass psychopathology/sociopathology off as a form legit philosophy. The only one pretentious was her. Though her philosophy is slightly less annoying than Scientology (based off a rejected film treatment/script).

I have nothing against orcs. They're awesome. So many uses. Finding traps. With their face. Taking an arrow. With their face. Distracting opponents. With their face. Sure, mentally they're slower than roadkill, but really, who expects them to be nothing more than walking bags of hit points?

This sounds like the same regurgitated opinion others were given and and in turn have accepted as their own. A couple psycology and literature professors dogged the shit out of her, so then it just became trendy. You don't have to adorn the dogma as a whole to agree with certain aspects. Take the Bible for instance. She 100% predicted the state the US is in today. Welfare, taxing those willing to work to support those who aren't, our 'duty' to do so. It is a triumph story of the human spirit and what can be accomplished for those willing to work for it. The first 500 pages are rough, I'll give you that. But the last 500 are profound and deeply so if you admire the human mind, will, and work ethic. Finish the book and make a judgement on it alone, not the author's personal beliefs, not a web search, and def not someone else's borrowed opinion. “Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think that you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.”

    Ok, sorry. Movies
