Yeah I see this as well.. makes me facepalm and laugh. But as far as rolling clicks definitely a lot of that.. like they'll roll with everyone but they try to only roll with a certain few people.

Really? Coach does a pretty good job of making sure we rotate. I've never noticed any cliques. I can perhaps understand a little guy avoiding a big guy or something but even then, most of the big guys have been around long enough to not be bastards about it and roll with smaller guys no prob.

Yeah thats why I said they'll roll with everyone.. but on busier nights if you pay enough attention to who's rotating where then you'll see it. When their are less people its impossible... Wasn't trying to imply that its a constant thing; Just that I've noticed what the op is referencing and its amusing.

I don't have a choice at my gym. My sifu won't let me roll with anyone my own weight at my gym. I'm always stuck with 170-205. I'm 149

I don't know what you guys are talking about I avoid people that are over my weight limit and over my spazz limit. Ill roll with most people that ask to roll but I don't try to roll with anyone thatll hurt me

Its not always their ego if someone is avoiding rolling with you, I suggest internalizing the issue. WHY do they avoid rolling with you? Most of the time it not because your awesome, if your thinking to yourself well its not because I'm a spaz, chances are....your the spaz.

I wouldn't think most people that really want to improve their game would care if they lose to a lower "rank".. everyone makes mistakes and their could also be a hole you need to fix etc.. I think it mostly has to do with the fact that people will generally want to roll with their friends or the whole spaz thing.

Or ill avoid people that smell. Or people that have long finger nails. Or people with a funky rash that's supposedly not ring worm.
Its never been about possibly losing to a lower rank cause that's what humbles you the most. I get tapped by a white belt, I know my technique is getting sloppy
