10th planet technique/ rubber guard illegal in tournament?

Was wondering if anyone had some info about the matter of "Are 10thplanet techniques/ rubber guard moves, illegal in some tournaments?"

heard some guys saying that some moves are banned/illegal in some tournaments. such as the lockdown since it poses threat to be a calf slicer in some cases as well as being seen by some as stalling time by imobilizing your opponent.

as small as I am the lock down is fantastic. when I use it, usualy the other guy cannot move and gets frustrated and I find it easier to roll him over.

    any truth to this matter?

I've heard of it being a possibility of being banned but I haven't come across it yet. The cool thing about no gi advanced division though all the stuff that's illegal in all the other divisions and gi belt divisions are legal in advanced no gi. IE bicep cutters, twisters. At least all the tournaments I've come across.

i thought some places have banned the twister because it might be too hard on the spine?

they banned the twister cos they couldnt handle people getting caught in it by eddie all the time and humiliated with it. as eddies said multiple times, nobodies been seriously hurt by a twister before whereas tons of people have had serious shit happen from leg locks etc
im pretty sure the rubber gaurd isnt banned, i mean, its just a really high guard when you look at it from the outside. so banning that would be like taking the kicks outta kickboxing or something

Recently in Ontario, Canada they're banned the electric chair under the Canadian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association tournaments, but FILA still allows it.
