If you're using Final Cut (on a Mac only) you must switch over to FCPX. It's so much faster than the old FCP. And by faster, I mean you can get the edit done quicker and easier. It's only $300, which is 1/3 of what the old program cost.

Finished this late last night. And although its a rather simple edit with one interview and some b roll footage and some simple credits, I simply could not have done it on the old FCP without spending a whole lot of time. Also, when I edit in FCP X, I'm never worried that when I make one new change to the edit I'm going to somehow mess up the parts I have already edited.
I highly recommend www.lynda.com training to learn how to work this or any other program you're having trouble with.
If you're on a PC, get the amatuer version of Adobe Premiere. It used to be called "Premiere Elements". It may have a different title now. Should cost around $150.
