Is anyone else not excited for Anderson silva super fights?

Ehh I don't think jones is in a fight with silva....compare the Bonnar fights. Of course that is my opinion and probably means absolutely nothing, but jones has two gigantic holes in his game. Against a technical striker (see machida fight) and against decent jiu jitsu (see vitor Belfort fight). Anderson is both of those. Sure Anderson had issues with chaels wrestling, but no wrestler before him. Idk. I just don't see it.

I think Silva could take him on the feet pretty decisively but Jones is too smart especially with Jackson in his corner to stand and trade. Jones would toss Silva an beat the piss out of him on the ground. Jones GNP aren't the rabbit punches Sonnen throws so I'd see if not a finish a string of 10-8 rounds.

I'd be more interested in Jones vs Silva. I have close to zero desire to watch Spider vs GSP.


Jones vs Silva would make me sad though. I really feel like Jone's size and grappling would be too much for Anderson and I would hate to see a legend get beat down so badly. I can only imagine how Fedor acolytes felt while watching Bigfoot pound away for 4 minutes straight.

But on the other hand, one of the things that has made Anderson's legend so big is that he seems to tool LHW's worse than he does MW's. So it's like, there's that possibility that Anderson might really pull this one off. If the fight ever happens, Anderson may as well just retire, win or lose. But it would be THE most epic fight of all time and the perfect end to a legendary fight career. Anderson is the Michael Jordan of MMA. Jones is more like the Lebron. More athletic than skillful, but still very skillful at the same time.

I'm on the fence about a Bones/Spider fight. But I have no desire to see Spider beat up someone smaller than him....and on the flip side, I'm not interested in watching GSP cling to dear life for a decision win if he's able to score TD's.

Jones/Spider has way more potential.
