    Incredibly basic questions!

I was rolling with a guy today who is about 30lbs heavier and very strong.
While in mount his hip bump threw me around like mad, even after a few rolls so he was tiring. I was sky diving but he un hooked his legs and then bumped, is their any way to neutralize this? because i wasn't clinched up with him or anything like that or are some guys just too strong to stop?
    thanks.

You can use high or monkey mount to minimize the effect his hips have on you. From there you can go for a lot of submissions, etc.

If you get head control and base, use your body to control his shoulders and have your legs hug tight to his side get your knees to snug up against his hips, If we can control at the shoulders and hips you reduce 75% of there explosive power to bump you away from them.

If you are going to lose mount, abandon to side on your terms. The tech I use most is called the coffee grinder. Swing one leg over his head while sitting on his solar plexus with the same hip. Immediatly pummel for under hook.

Controlling head and arm while skydiving will calm down any beast as well.

Knee on belly and movement are also options. Transition from mount to kob, to side or far side, back to mount. Stay mobile, he cant push everywere at once and you're way faster on your feet than he is on his back.

Its gonna be a battle. The more you fight that battle the better you'll get at maintaining mount. Getting head and arm control takes away a bunch of options too. I like to cross my feet when I'm in mount, right around their butt. Then its very difficult for them to unhook your feet.

The problem is getting head and arm control on someone who's strong and savy can be really difficult. Spike your elbow in his necks carotid artery while basing with the other arm to force him to stop pushing and defend with his arms.

Crossing the feet under the butt is awesome, it makes it way harder to lock his arms out eliminating a huge amount of his power advantage.

Oh absolutely that head and arm control is a battle all its own. Guys trex like pros sometimes. Creating openings is def key on higher level guys that know exactly what you want.

keep your feet tucked in by his hips and olny slide the one hook up opposite the roll, toes pointed up. Pull it back as soon as you stop the roll and come back to mount, stay fluid so you can stop either direction. Helps me a bunch with big strong guys. I beleive this is how Rener gracie teaches it.

Keep your legs squeezing tight, if he unhooks your legs rehook them.

Attack his neck to get his hands off your hips so the hip bump attempts stop and then go to head and arm/wrist/armpit control and sub.

Once you control his head make sure you grind his head down and force him to look in one direction then have good base in the direction.
