Jared: you don't know these people. If you go into the Houston Jiu Jitsu scene, their reputation precedes them... You know the more we go to these tournaments, the more people we meet and with Cora's popularity, people tells us things.
I'm with Bobby. I've taken knees to the boys with and without a cup. Only time I've never been able to get back up was when I wore a cup. Had to see the doctor the next day. Haven't worn one since.
Cups are a touchy situation, they can protect your jewels but they can also hurt people too.
Anyways, if Cora is 100% down to pull guard she needs to immediately sit down and black mamba. Marcelo sits down quickly alot and so does Jean Jacques. If she is standing but doesn't want to get put into full guard tell her to stay crouched down low with her arms t-rexed but pointing down, so if the guy tries to pull jump guard she is in perfect position to under pass
Master Eddie: During this injury, the guys of 10thplanet has come with full force to show Cora a lot of love. I really appreciate everything that you have created, especially this site. You guys have shown more concern and love toward Cora than her own coach. Also everyone chimmed in on advice concerning how to improve her game in regards to this pulling guard matter. We will work on it for sure. This is just another piece of the puzzle that we are trying to fit into her game. And thank you so much for the picture as Brent said, it always help to finish an explanation with a picture as I am very visual..

I think I have enough info to start drilling the defense to the jumping guard. But also I want to get yall help on this other situation. The boy who beaten Cora got her posture broken and put on a high guard while wrist controlling her. I see the same technique apply on that boy by the 13 year old boy that previously beat Cora in the other tournament. So the same technique applied by the two different boys in the same tournament. So how do you prevent this from happening, other than to not get in their guard? Also once in it, how to escape before they switch to the armbar? Here is their match....
I feel eye contact can make or break most fighters, boys confidence is something easily broken at that age as well, Mike Tyson did this often with his opponents. He wouldn't break eye contact, not even for a moment, and as soon his opponent did, he knew even for a split second if they did he had broken them. This girl is gonna make dudes forfeit before they ever dream of pulling guard.
