Jack when you use quote tags, you only use the backslash on the end quote. [/QUOTE]

At the start of a quote, you leave the backslash out. [QUOTE]

Please fix it so I can make sense out of that post. lol.

Hey jack I finally read your post. I am willing to admit that BJJ is the least important tool in MMA at the moment and it seems hat even BJJ guys are following suit.

I still think Maia's win is significant. He ruined Rick story with BJJ. Stun gun didn't have a freak accident. Maia's body lock injured him. And he owned Fitch. Sure he didn't get the tap, but neither did BJ.

Is BJJ the least important? Yes. Can it become equally important as other arts? I believe so. There are fights where BJJ guys dominate mostly pure wrestlers.

That said, I still don't agree that GSPs success is due to wrestling. It's due to his mix. The wrestling is what allows him to take it to the ground. And don't you dare compare Canadian wrestling to American D1 wrestling. Haha. He gets it to the ground. And once it's there, honestly don't see pure wrestling. BJJ is not all submissions. When I see his guard passing and side control, I see mostly BJJ with a touch of wrestling. Again, there's no such thing as controlling guard in wrestling. That's BJJ.

BJJ can be relevant again if only the practitioners would learn how to blend it into a winning combo.

    Much love brother.

    I will respectfully disagree.

Purely wrestling? NO, I'm not saying that. No... But, I would suggest there's more wrestling going on than you think
