    RNC and Body triangle escape

AS of late, I've been seeing a lot of submission from the RNC and body triangle. So I've been trying to research different ways to get out of them. Does anyone have a good one they want to share? What I come up with is ok, but not sure if its legal for kids to do in tournament. So anyways here is what we been working on in the garage. While in the RNC, of course protect your neck. To get out, roll to the side of the locking leg. Step on their bottom leg with both of your legs and bridge up really hard. THis will ankle lock them, thus getting a tap. Not sure if this is legal for kids to do in tournament as this is an ankle lock. Anybody has one they want to share? It will also be nice if it comes with video... thanks Bruce

There is a very refined version of that our instructor shows, it's all about the angle, much more like a shrimp motion than a bridge. Sadly, Im bad with the names.. but we train that escape fairly often here.

Kind of a reverse shrimp while pushing on the knee. And for the love of god Bruce don't do it hard or fast. It comes on quick and can destroy their ankle. A gradual increase in pressure will help them realize they don't want to have it anymore and they will attempt to release it. This is legal. Time this with a hip escape.

Best defense for a rnc is 2 on 1 and never let them under you chin.

Bobby: yes believe me.. we stressed that enough..nice and slow because Cora always kills me with it. Hurts like hell. THat is why I wasn't sure if its legal in tournaments or not for kids.

Umm. Kinda. That is still a bridge, that's the common one .(I referred to as unrefined earlier). That's how I did it before I was shown the better one. With just the bridge, if he is tall enough to get that latch above his ankle then the bridge wont get a tap or get you out... The better one kinda unlatches it for you..Its more like a shrimp.. I dunno how else to describe it, I wish I could remember the damn name... Anyone?

P.s. Remember the over-under control dictates the correct side to lay for the RNC/arm-triangle....
