    Hello. Just introducing myself

Hello out there. I just want to introduce myself. My name is Marco. I've been studying 10th Planet system via videos for about 2-3 months. Just recently signed up at HQ about 2 weeks ago and have attended 2-3 classes so far. I've been practicing BJJ off and on for about a year or so. I am excited about learning all I can about the 10th Planet system. I am always open to suggestions on technique and practicing to improve my skills. Ranking up I am not in a hurry to do, but I am curious to know how long I should remain in the beginners classes before moving up into the next level of classes? Any advice or help advancing would be appreciated.

Welcome. Repetition is the best advice out there. And stick with it

howdy. you could just ask your coach that question but I would say about a dozen classes of beginner level would be a good idea. Thats what I did, then I kept doing both classes for about 4 more months just to get more time on basics. I guess that was about 48 more classes since i went 3 times a week. You can always get better at the basics.

Thanks guys. I'm sure the coach will best answer that question. Just was wondering if there was a specific or designated number I must attend. I plan on going 2x per week. Work, family and regular gym time consume a lot of time.

I think beginners or basics classes should be taken as often as you can. You can not have too many reps on your foundation. In my humble opinion you should continue attending basics classes as much as you can throughout your entire journey in jiu jitsu. We all know the guy who has crazy spiral guard and cant do a perfect bridge and roll...dont be that guy. That being said welcome to the system and have fun.

Thanks brothers. Was at HQ this evening training. I figure I will probably stay doing beginners for a few months and mix in an advanced class here and there. Feels great to be part of this family. Will be looking forward to learning and sharing my experiences with all of you. Thanks for the warm welcomes.
