Yea I subscribe to science weekly and they had something about this last week. We're probably a long way away from artificial intelligence in biological form, but this is the start. The big task is to develop artificial DNA, and that's going to take a deeper understanding of DNA in general. We're also starting to develop programs that think of new ideas recently.
