Hey guys big ? Can only a black belt ,belt you ?like say if the guys brown belt can he belt a blue.

instructor can belt to the same level. at least in the case where they are a blue belt themselves. not sure if purples can give purples out etc makes sense though

Pretty sure blue belts can't rank. We can recommend guys to 'our' instructors for them to grade to blue, but until we are purples we can't. At my place, I shall however stripe/star guys up to '4 stripe/star white belt', until I have my purple and can grade blues.
Purples can grade to blue, browns to purple, blacks to brown, 1st or 2nd degree black can give black belts as far as I know.

All certified instructors can belt to blue. Only black belt instructors can belt purple or brown. Eddie does the black belts.

im thinking about mick over in birmingham. he promoted his first blue belts when he was still a blue belt (even if he was far better than a blue belt should be if youre an instructer you can belt people regardless of belt.

at least in tpjj i guess other schools have other rules.

So much miss info on this thread.

1)Blue Belt Affiliate Instructors can Rank to Blue. Hot Box Leaders can not rank. However their Sponsor instructors can.

2)Any instructor that is not Black Belt may only rank to blue.
